Lay Down Your Arms and its work has been made possible by the legacy left to us by the peace activist and lawyer Fredrik Heffermehl.
Fredrik S. Heffermehl was a Norwegian lawyer, author of books on the Nobel Peace Prize and former vice-president of the International Peace Bureau (IPB). He was a founding member of the Lay Down Your Arms Association and an organiser of The Nobel Peace Prize Watch.
It is thanks to his vision and generosity that we are now able to organise the events we host, run the annual LDYA Peace Prize, and bring people together for the promotion of peace.
